Clinical Presentation
28-year-old female, non-smoker, presents with flushing for several weeks and recent fever.
- 1Plain film reveals right hydropneumothorax with inferior consolidation containing pneumatoceles.
- 2CT defines a smooth, spherical, enhancing endobronchial lesion firmly lodged in the right bronchus intermedius.
- 3Distal right middle lobe and lower lobe atelectasis and dense consolidation (post-obstructive pneumonitis).
- 4Suppurative abscess formation rupturing into the pleural cavity, confirming the secondary empyema/hydropneumothorax.
